"Dear Right Holder/Vessel Owner/Crew/Authorised Representative:

The Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Branch: Marine and Coastal Management ("the Department") may have to submit official notices and correspondence relating to commercial fishing to Right Holders and other interested and affected parties as and when necessary. For this purpose the Department will use the postal address (and other contact details) specified in the fishing right application form, unless requested to do otherwise in writing.

Should any of your contact details change, it is expected of you to inform the Department immediately. For this purpose the form titled "Personal Details Update Form" needs to be completed and submitted to the Customer Service Centre ("CSC"), Ground Floor, Foretrust Building, Martin Hammerschlag Way, Foreshore, Cape Town, 8000. Other contact details of the CSC are as follows:

The CSC is open for members of the public during the following times:

Mondays and Tuesdays from 07:30 - 16:00, on Wednesdays 9:30 - 16:00, and on Thursdays and Fridays from 07:30 - 16:00 with the exception of the last Friday of the month when the Centre will be closing at 14:30.

General Note:
A notice directed to the address of the Right Holder, shall be taken to have been received by the Right Holder:
1. On the same day, if delivered by hand at the address during normal business hours;
2. The next day if sent by fax or e-mail; and
3. On the 10th day after posting it by mail.
