Interprative Signage Program

Every person that in any way processes fish (cleans, boxes, stores, adds value etc to fish) must first obtain the permission of Marine and Coastal Management to do so. As fish processing is a non-consumptive activity, Marine and Coastal Management regularly authorises persons to commercially process fish.

Processors must however adhere to a number of conditions depending on what fish they intend to process. For more information, please enquire at our Customer Services Centre. A list of all authorised fish processors is included on this page, together with certain generic conditions as they apply to certain specific fish stocks.
