Shark Cage Diving Operators

Marine and Coastal Management has authorised those operators listed below to lawfully operate a boat based whale watching business.

A permitted boat based watching operation is required to operate according to strict conditions aimed at ensuring that the sharks are viewed without harming them.

Cage Diving
The diving is conducted in anything from a 1 man to a 5 man cage (depending on each operator and the size of the vessels). Clients are assisted into the cage, which is attached to the vessel, through an opening at the top.
